Course Curriculum

Day 1 – Sample Size Calculation Workshop 2024
Pre-requisites for sample size calculation in health research. Sample size calculations in different scenarios in health research:- a) One group (when prevalence or proportion is given) in descriptive or cross-sectional study design b) One group (when Mean and Standard Deviation are given) in descriptive or cross-sectional study design c) Sample size calculation when medians are given instead of means d) Sample size calculation using various online calculators.

Day2 – Sample Size Calculation Workshop 2024
Sample size calculation in randomized controlled trial when outcome is quantitative or numerical in nature Sample size calculation in randomized controlled trial when outcome is qualitative or categorical or binary in nature. Sample size calculation when medians are given instead of means Sample size calculation using effect size Post-hoc power calculation when sample size calculation is not done before starting the study. Sample size calculation using various online calculators.
